India, July 16 -- Fresh developments have emerged in the investigation into the murder of a doctor in Karnataka's Dharwad, with police revealing that the victim's wife allegedly injected herself with insulin after the incident and is currently undergoing treatment. Investigators also said there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment, suggesting that the incident may have involved someone known to the victim.

The victim, Dr. Kiran Honannavar, was found dead inside his apartment, while the couple's young son sustained serious stab injuries and is receiving medical treatment.
