India, June 14 -- The internal conflict within the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has intensified after Baidyanath Ghosh Dastidar, son of rebel TMC MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, sent a legal notice to party chief Mamata Banerjee and several senior leaders.

The notice challenges claims that he had sought a TMC ticket from the Barasat Assembly constituency.

According to the legal notice, Baidyanath strongly denied reports and statements suggesting that he was interested in contesting elections or had requested a party nomination.

He described the allegations as false, defamatory, and damaging to his reputation. The notice reportedly demands that the concerned leaders withdraw their statements and issue clarifications within a specified period.
