India, May 18 -- Vice Chairman NDMC, Kuljeet Singh Chahal, on Sunday declared Jor Bagh as the civic body's next "Anupam Colony" and led a plantation drive there under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, an official said.

'Anupam Colony' initiative is based on 100 per cent waste segregation at source, on-site composting, recycling and active community participation to promote cleaner and greener neighbourhoods.

The drive saw participation from resident welfare association members, local residents, senior citizens and NDMC officials and staff, an official statement said.
