India, Aug. 20 -- After 26 days of sustained protests that put Jharkhand's recruitment system under intense scrutiny, different groups of agitating students on Wednesday vacated their protest site at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, declaring a temporary victory but giving the Hemant Soren Government 60 days to deliver on its assurances. The suspension brought a dramatic pause to one of the state's longest student agitations over alleged irregularities in examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
