India, March 26 -- A sleeper tourist bus from Jaipur overturned early Wednesday in central Delhi's Karol Bagh, killing two passengers and injuring 23 others, police said. The accident occurred around 1:05 am near Jhandewalan Temple when the bus, carrying roughly 30 passengers, lost control and tipped onto its side.
Police and local residents launched a swift rescue operation. A passing JCB machine was used to lift and stabilise the bus, while roadside cement blocks were employed to prevent further movement. Passengers trapped inside were evacuated, with critically injured victims rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital.
