India, Aug. 25 -- A 59-year-old woman visiting her sister at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital suffered a head injury after a ceiling fan fell on her in the hospital's ENT ward on Monday evening.

The woman, identified as Renu, suffered an injury that required 15 stitches, according to the hospital administration.

The incident took place at the hospital's Charak Bhawan.

Renu, a resident of Karauli, had gone to visit her sister Santosh, who had undergone ear surgery at the hospital.

Renu was sitting on a table near her sister's bed when the ceiling fan suddenly fell on her head.

She was taken to the hospital's trauma centre, where doctors treated the injury and put 15 stitches on her head.
