India, June 24 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reportedly invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the burial ceremonies of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to diplomatic sources.

The funeral ceremonies are scheduled to be held from July 5 to July 9 across multiple cities, including Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad. The final rites are expected to take place in Mashhad on July 9.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the Indian government regarding the invitation or the Prime Minister's participation in the event.
