Inspection of Gandhi Smriti financials gets CIC nod
India, Oct. 2 -- The Central Information Commission (CIC) has allowed an RTI applicant to inspect four years of financial records of the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti after they sought details of expenditure incurred, audit reports and funds received by the museum from the Union Ministry of Culture. Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Vijay Goel is vice chairman of the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Smriti for last years. The CIC's intervention came after the RTI applicant alleged that the information provided was incomplete, false and misleading.
