India, June 12 -- Marking World Environment Day 2026, IndianOil's Refineries Division highlighted a significant sustainability milestone with the successful operation of a first-of-its-kind Green Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at its Haldia Refinery in West Bengal.

The innovative facility, powered by Integrated Wetland Technology (IWT), has been operational since January 26, 2026, and is already delivering measurable environmental benefits.

The achievement was showcased through an audio-visual presentation released by Arvind Kumar, Director (Refineries), IndianOil, at the company's Refineries Headquarters in New Delhi.
