Indian Navy to commission indigenous stealth frigate INS Mahendragiri on July 11
India, July 6 -- The Indian Navy is set to commission INS Mahendragiri, the country's latest indigenous stealth guided-missile frigate, on July 11 at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam. The warship marks the successful completion of the Navy's ambitious Project 17A programme, aimed at strengthening India's maritime capabilities with next-generation stealth warships.
INS Mahendragiri is the seventh and final frigate under Project 17A and has been designed by the Indian Navy's Warship Design Bureau.
