Indian man charged in US high-speed crash that killed pregnant teen partner
India, June 4 -- A 33-year-old Indian man has been charged in the United States in connection with a high-speed crash that killed his pregnant teenage partner and her unborn child in Ohio earlier this year.
Authorities said the accused, identified as Tarsem Singh, allegedly failed to stop for law enforcement and led deputies on a dangerous high-speed chase that reached speeds of nearly 100 mph before ending in a fatal collision.
According to police reports, the vehicle was initially clocked at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone and later accelerated to over 120 mph during the pursuit. The driver reportedly lost control on a curve, crossed into oncoming traffic, struck another vehicle, and overturned multiple times.
