Indian crew member killed, several injured in Strait of Hormuz tanker strike
India, July 14 -- An Indian crew member was killed and several others were injured after two UAE-flagged oil tankers were struck by Iranian cruise missiles in the Strait of Hormuz, marking a major escalation in tensions in the Gulf region.
The attack took place in Omani territorial waters, where both vessels caught fire after being hit. Emergency teams managed to control the blaze, but one Indian sailor lost his life while several others suffered injuries, some of them seriously.
