Indian Army spreads smiles for specially-abled children
India, July 17 -- The Red Shield Gunners under the aegis of Spear Corps organised an educational and recreational visit to the Golden Pagoda, located at Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh, on 16 July 2026 for 15 specially abled children and eight staff members from Navarupantar Children's Home, Rupai. The Golden Pagoda, one of Northeast India's prominent Buddhist landmarks, is renowned for its peaceful surroundings, striking golden architecture and cultural significance. The initiative aimed to provide the children with a memorable experience beyond their daily routine while promoting learning, inclusion and social interaction.
