India, April 8 -- On the occasion of World Health Day, the Red Shield Gunners of the Indian Army, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised a comprehensive Medical Camp at Pengree, Tinsukia, in coordination with the Red Cross Society, AANS and Pengree Tea Estate.
The initiative aimed at promoting health awareness and providing essential medical support to the local community.
The camp witnessed wide public participation and included health check-ups, diagnostic services including cancer screening, and awareness sessions on preventive healthcare.
Special focus was laid on women and child health, with distribution of sanitary pads, newborn care kits for new mothers and essential medicines for pregnant women.
