India, June 13 -- India is funding the construction of a hospital in Nepal's remote Humla district under a grant assistance of NPR 148 million. The foundation stone for the construction of the Nepal-Bharat Maitri Hospital building in Chankheli Rural Municipality-2 of Humla district in Karnali province was laid on Thursday, according to a press release by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

The hospital building is being built with the Government of India's financial assistance of Nepali Rupees 148 million, approximately, it said.
