India, June 6 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said India accounts for only five per cent of the global seafood business, observing that the country has immense opportunities in the sector.

Addressing a national workshop on seafood exports in Visakhapatnam, the CM said the growth of Andhra Pradesh's blue economy would contribute significantly to the country's development.

The blue economy focuses on the sustainable use of ocean and coastal resources to drive economic growth while protecting marine ecosystems. "India's share in the global seafood business is only five per cent. The country has tremendous opportunities in this sector," Naidu said.
