India, June 1 -- India delivered a strong performance at the 22nd Asian U20 Athletics Championships in Hong Kong, finishing second in the overall medal tally behind hosts China. The Indian contingent ended the event with a total of 19 medals, including 10 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze, ahead of Japan, which finished third.

The final day proved highly successful for India, highlighted by a record-breaking gold medal in the women's 4x400m relay. The team of Neeru Pathak, Bhumika Sanjay Nehate, Tahura Khatun, and Sehnoor Bawa clocked 3:38.07 to set a new championship record, surpassing Japan's previous mark from 2018.
