India criticises Pakistan at UNSC, highlights "Long-Tainted Record of Genocidal Acts"
India, May 21 -- India strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), accusing it of having a "long-tainted record of genocidal acts" and using violence to divert attention from its internal challenges.
The remarks were made by India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, during the Annual UNSC Open Debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict.
The statement came after Pakistan raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir during the debate. Responding to the remarks, India stated that matters related to Jammu and Kashmir are internal issues and criticised Pakistan for attempting to internationalise them.
