India condemns attack on Indian-Flagged Ship off Oman Coast, calls it "Unacceptable"
India, May 14 -- India strongly condemned the attack on an Indian-flagged commercial vessel off the coast of Oman, calling the incident "unacceptable" and expressing concern over continued threats to civilian shipping in the region.
Reacting to the incident, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India deplores attacks targeting commercial ships and civilian mariners, stressing that freedom of navigation and global commerce must not be disrupted.
"The attack on an Indian-flagged ship off the coast of Oman yesterday is unacceptable and we deplore the fact that commercial shipping and civilian mariners continue to be targeted," Jaiswal said.
