India brings devotional music to Fiji through Bhajan Jamming 2026
India, Aug. 4 -- The High Commission of India in Suva, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), organised Bhajan Jamming 2026 at the University of the South Pacific, celebrating Indian devotional music and cultural ties with Fiji.
Local artists, community groups, students, and members of the Indian diaspora came together for an evening of soulful bhajans that highlighted the deep historical and cultural bonds between the two countries. High Commissioner Suneet Mehta emphasised that devotional music transcends borders and strengthens people-to-people connections. He noted its role in preserving shared traditions and promoting mutual understanding.
