India, May 15 -- The Income Tax Department has released the Excel utilities for ITR-1 and ITR-4 forms for Financial Year 2025-26 and Assessment Year 2026-27, allowing eligible taxpayers to begin filing their income tax returns through the official e-filing portal.

The department also confirmed that online filing for both forms has now been activated. Taxpayers can access the utilities and submit their returns through the official portal at Income Tax e Filing Portal.

In a post shared on X, the department said the Excel utility and online filing facility for ITR-1 and ITR-4 are now available for eligible users.
