India, Aug. 17 -- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will organise a one-day workshop for members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on public financial management, fiscal governance and legislative oversight on August 18, a statement said. More than 200 newly elected MLAs are expected to participate in the workshop, it said. ICAI Eastern Region chairman Mayur Agarwal said the workshop would focus on helping legislators understand the state budget, financial statements and other associated aspects of public financial management.
