India, May 3 -- A teenager died and two others were injured after five boys climbed a dilapidated overhead water tank to shoot a social media reel in Siddharthnagar district, officials said.

According to authorities, the boys had climbed the 50 to 60-foot-high structure in a residential colony on Sunday afternoon. While descending later in the evening, the rusted iron ladder of the old tank reportedly collapsed, causing three of them to fall to the ground.

One 13-year-old boy died after suffering serious head injuries. Two other teenagers were critically injured and admitted to a nearby medical college hospital for treatment.
