India, Sept. 15 -- Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has revealed the name of its upcoming SUV: Hyundai BAYON. The new global model marks a fresh chapter for Hyundai in India, joining the brand's strong SUV line-up while embodying its "intelligent mobility" philosophy centred on innovation, expression and emotion.

MD & CEO Tarun Garg said BAYON reflects "a new mindset" aimed at delivering experiences that are "intelligent, intuitive and meaningful," with technology designed to feel effortless and seamlessly integrated into customers' lives. The name draws inspiration from Bayonne, a city in the French Basque Country known for its distinctive character, signalling exhilaration and a spirit of adventure for an evolving Indian market.
