India, Aug. 28 -- Hyderabad is set to face drinking-water disruptions for 24 hours from 10 am on August 29 to 10 am on August 30 due to pipeline junction work at Bandlaguda X Road, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has said.

The work involves a 1,500-mm-diameter mild-steel gravity main of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project Phase-III, Ring Main-I. The junction work is required to facilitate the construction of a box drain being taken up by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at Bandlaguda X Road.

Water supply in several areas is expected to be either disrupted or maintained at low pressure during the work. Affected areas include Bandlaguda, Shastripuram, Shamshabad, Attapur, Kismatp...
