India, July 8 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the heavy rainfall situation in Maharashtra and Gujarat and assured all possible assistance from the Centre as both states continued to face disruptions caused by intense monsoon activity.

Shah held discussions with the state governments and took stock of the impact of heavy rains, flooding and related challenges. He assured that the Centre would extend necessary support, including assistance from disaster response agencies, to help carry out rescue and relief operations.
