India, May 28 -- Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday reiterated the Centre's strong commitment to identify and deport illegal immigrants from the country.

Addressing a public rally after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 340 crore in Gujarat's Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Shah said the government remains determined to secure the nation's borders and eliminate illegal immigration.

The Home Minister stressed that strict action would continue against illegal infiltration and asserted that national security remains a top priority for the government.
