Himanta inaugurates development projects in Jalukbari constituency
India, Aug. 15 -- Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today inaugurated several development projects in the Jalukbari Assembly Constituency, including an RCC bridge connecting Bamunrajan Road with Forest School Road and 19 single-cell RCC box culverts constructed over the Kalmani stream at Azara.
As part of the Mukhyamantrir Unnata Paki Path Nirman Achoni for 2024-25, Sarma formally inaugurated the RCC bridge, constructed at a cost of more than Rs 2.56 crore.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister said that the old wooden bridge at the site was in a highly dilapidated condition, forcing residents of the Baripara area to take a longer route via Bamunrajan Road for their daily commute. The new bridge, measuring 32.40 metres in le...
