India, June 29 -- Heavy overnight showers lashed Mumbai and its suburbs, bringing relief from humid weather but causing waterlogging and traffic disruptions across several parts of the city. Multiple locations recorded more than 100 mm of rainfall within just four hours, making it one of the season's heaviest spells.
According to weather reports, the intense rainfall began late Sunday night and continued into Monday morning, inundating low-lying areas and slowing vehicular movement on several major roads. Commuters reported waterlogged stretches in parts of the eastern and western suburbs, although traffic remained largely manageable in most locations.
