India, July 20 -- Heavy monsoon showers drenched Mumbai on Monday, leading to waterlogging in several low-lying areas and causing traffic disruptions across the city. Roads in parts of the western and central suburbs witnessed slow-moving traffic as rainwater accumulated, while commuters faced delays during the morning rush hour.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in isolated areas.
