India, June 17 -- In a step towards strengthening the campaign against illegal sex determination, Haryana has initiated efforts to further enhance inter-state cooperation with neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.

In a letter on Monday addressed to UP Additional Chief Secretary (Medical Health and Family Welfare) Amit Kumar Ghosh, Haryana's Additional Chief Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Sumita Misra underscored the shared commitment of both states towards improving the sex ratio at birth and advancing the objectives of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
