India, July 30 -- Gujarat has become the first State in India to introduce a digital Holistic Progress Card (HPC) aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in collaboration with NCERT's PARAKH initiative.

Unlike the conventional marks-based report card, the new digital system will evaluate students through a comprehensive 360-degree framework covering academic performance, creativity, leadership, life skills, sports, arts and social-emotional development.

The assessment model combines self-evaluation, peer review, parent feedback and teacher assessment, providing a broader picture of a student's overall development and learning needs.
