India, July 17 -- The Delhi Government plans to begin work on the redevelopment of bus stops in the national Capital by September this year, aiming to transform them into aesthetic and modern bus queue shelters (BQS) with facilities such as a panic alarm system and weather display.

A senior government official said on Thursday that these advanced bus stops will be constructed in a public-private partnership (PPP) mode, and the DTIDC plans to soon hire a project management consultancy firm for the BQS redevelopment project.
