India, April 3 -- The Delhi Government on Thursday conducted a crackdown on illegal LPG refilling in Alipur, uncovering unauthorised activities and registering a case against those involved, officials said. The action followed inputs from a sting operation aired on a national news channel on April 1. Acting on the information, a joint team of the Food and Supplies Department and Oil Marketing Companies carried out a raid at the identified location.
During the inspection, officials found that LPG cylinders were being illegally refilled at the premises. Authorities said such practices pose serious safety risks and disrupt the regulated supply of LPG. Three consumer passbooks were also recovered, which were allegedly being misused to obtain...
