Government rolls out heat relief drive across Capital
India, May 26 -- The Delhi Government has launched an extensive heat relief campaign across the capital, deploying Mobile Heat Relief Units and setting up Cooling Zones to help citizens cope with severe heatwave conditions. Officials said relief measures carried out between May 6 and May 23 reached nearly 2.65 lakh people across all 13 districts of the city.
The initiative, under the supervision of the Revenue Department, includes distributing cold drinking water, ORS packets, caps, and cotton towels to labourers, commuters, and vulnerable people exposed to extreme temperatures.
