Government lays foundation stone for community centre in Rohini
India, April 13 -- The Delhi Government on Sunday laid the foundation stone for a community centre at Sector 20 in Rohini, to be built in the name of Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, a project that had been awaited for the past 32 years.
The project, announced ahead of Ambedkar's 136th birth anniversary on April 14, will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.62 crore. It is expected to be completed in two years.
In addition to the community centre, the government will also beautify Valmiki Park and renovate a sewer line in the area, with an estimated cost of Rs 3.61 crore.
