India, April 9 -- The Delhi Government will launch a special outreach initiative to improve access to cooking fuel for migrant labourers, following a decision to double the allocation of 5 kg free trade LPG cylinders under the migrant category. As per an allocation order dated April 7, the daily availability of these cylinders has been increased from 684 to 1,368. The move follows approval by the Government of India for a 100 per cent increase in allocation under this category.

Officials said the enhanced supply is aimed at ensuring wider access and more equitable distribution of LPG among migrant workers across the Capital.
