India, June 16 -- The Central Government has temporarily restricted access to Telegram in India until June 22 following concerns that the messaging platform was being used by cheating networks linked to the NEET-UG examination.

Authorities are closely monitoring online activities after reports emerged that question papers and exam-related information were allegedly being circulated through Telegram groups.

The action comes as officials intensify efforts to ensure transparency and fairness in the NEET-UG re-test process.
