India, June 10 -- Several Google Cloud services experienced network disruptions in India after a fire broke out at a third-party data centre facility in Delhi, triggering an emergency shutdown of networking equipment, according to reports.

The incident led to reduced network capacity at a local Point of Presence (POP) in Delhi, resulting in intermittent connectivity issues and elevated latency for users across multiple regions, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai.

Google Cloud confirmed that traffic from affected areas was rerouted to alternate facilities to minimise service disruption. However, users may still experience slower performance, delays in data transfer, and occasional connectivity issues.
