Ghatkesar couple death probe widens as police investigate forced conversion allegations
India, July 9 -- The investigation into the deaths of a couple found on railway tracks between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar in Telangana has widened after allegations of forced religious conversion surfaced. Police are examining claims made by the couple's elder son while continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
According to the Secunderabad Railway Police, the bodies of a 42-year-old rice trader and his 33-year-old wife were discovered on the railway tracks on the night of July 2 after a train loco pilot alerted authorities. A motorcycle found near the spot and belongings recovered from the deceased helped establish their identities.
