Gehlot accuses Govt of cancelling 300 Congress-era land allotments
India, July 28 -- Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Monday accused the BJP-led Rajasthan Government of cancelling over 300 land allotments made during the previous Congress regime, alleging that the move has hurt social institutions and public welfare initiatives.
In a statement, Gehlot said the cancelled allotments were meant for hostels for students from rural areas, social organisations and other public utility purposes.
"These allotments were not for any political party but for students coming from villages, social institutions and welfare purposes. Cancelling them is an insult to communities and an attack on the future of youth," he said.
