India, Nov. 6 -- GAIL Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (GMPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, has successfully commissioned its 1.25 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) manufacturing plant at the Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) in Karnataka.

The commissioning marks a significant step in GAIL's efforts to strengthen its presence in the downstream petrochemical sector and expand India's domestic manufacturing capacity for a key industrial raw material.
