India, May 19 -- Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Major General (Retd.) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Dehradun after a prolonged illness. He was 91.

A respected former Army officer turned politician, BC Khanduri served twice as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand - first from 2007 to 2009 and again from 2011 to 2012. He was widely known for his disciplined administrative style, anti-corruption measures, and focus on transparent governance.
