India, May 2 -- Former MLA PV Anvar on Friday said a UDF Government, if voted to power, would be duty-bound to investigate the alleged corruption and wrongdoing of the incumbent LDF administration.

Anvar, who was elected as an LDF-backed MLA, resigned after falling out with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and later contested the recently held Assembly polls from Beypore constituency as a UDF-backed independent candidate.

He was speaking to reporters in the wake of reports that former Malappuram District Police Chief Sujith Das S had been given a clean chit in an internal probe into allegations of misconduct, including improper handling of cases, aiding gold smugglers and illegal felling of trees from the compound of his official residen...
