India, Aug. 24 -- Delhi Police has apprehended five people in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a youth in the Roop Nagar area and recovered the car suspected to have been used in the crime, an official said on Monday.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the incident may be linked to a love affair, though police are yet to establish the exact motive behind the alleged kidnapping.

The five apprehended persons are being questioned as investigators work to piece together the sequence of events leading to the incident and determine their individual roles, the officer said.
