First made-in-India C-295 aircraft rolled out from Vadodara Tata-Airbus facility
India, May 15 -- India has achieved a major milestone in its defence manufacturing journey as the first domestically produced C-295 military transport aircraft has been assembled at the Tata-Airbus facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The development marks the first time a private sector company in India has manufactured a complete military aircraft within the country.
The aircraft has been produced at the Tata-Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) located in Harni, Vadodara, established under a joint venture between Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Airbus. The plant was inaugurated on October 28, 2024, by Narendra Modi and Pedro Sanchez.
