FIR filed against Mamata Banerjee over remarks linking Home Ministry to Bangladesh murder case
India, June 4 -- An FIR has been registered against Mamata Banerjee over alleged provocative remarks made about the Union Home Ministry during a recent protest meeting in Kolkata, police said on Thursday.
The case was lodged at a cyber crime police station in Siliguri following a complaint by advocate Rinki Sen Chatterjee. The complaint relates to comments made by Banerjee during a protest on June 2, where she referred to the murder of a Bangladeshi national and allegedly linked the matter to the Home Ministry and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
