India, Sept. 1 -- A man frustrated with pothole-ridden roads in Hyderabad lay down in the middle of the street at Gowliguda bus stand on Tuesday, September 1, forcing traffic to a halt and drawing a crowd.

The protester, Feroz, said the stretch had been in bad shape for days and was putting motorists and pedestrians at risk. A video of him lying on the road quickly did the rounds on social media.

Two policemen rushed to the spot and tried to talk him into moving, since the protest was holding up traffic in Hyderabad. They assured him the road would be fixed by the next morning. Feroz wasn't convinced - he said the problem had dragged on for too long to be solved overnight and needed real repair work, not another quick patch.
