Education Ministry Dismisses Concerns Over CBSE On-Screen Marking System
India, May 17 -- The Ministry of Education has clarified concerns regarding the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) On-Screen Marking (OSM) system following the announcement of Class 12 results. The ministry stated that OSM is an internationally accepted evaluation process designed to ensure transparency and accuracy in marking answer sheets.
Officials explained that nearly 98 lakh answer sheets were scanned for Class 12 examinations under a three-level security system. However, some answer sheets faced visibility issues because students had used very light ink, making them difficult to read even after scanning.
