DU women's hostel protest: Administration grants stay extension till June 30
India, May 23 -- Women students at the University Hostel for Women at Delhi University staged a late-night sit-in protest that stretched past midnight and into the early hours of Friday.
The students refused to leave until the hostel administration put its assurances in writing. At 3.30 am, they got what they came for: a written notice extending residency for final-year students till June 30, 2026, and a commitment to address basic amenities that had been failing for months.
